Strike participants intended to express their discontent with refuse of the Airline Company’s management to discuss salary increase of the flight attendants.

Earlier on Wednesday industrial dispute tribunal in Frankfurt am Mein rejected claim of Lufthansa management to introduce judicial restraint on strike and found legal planned striking of the flight attendants.

In October employees of four Airline Companies that enter Lufthansa group – Eurowings, Germanwings, SunExpress and CityLine were striking and the flights in the airports of Berlin, Hamburg, Munich, Frankfurt am Mein, Dusseldorf and Cologne have been cancelled.

Behavior of French bulldogs caused long delay of the DI7181 flight of Norwegian Air Airline Company with direction from London to Austeen (USA, Texas state). Cuban air carrier Cubana de Aviacion took decision to cancel flights to Mexico, Venezuela and some Caribbean countries because of dissolution of contracts from part of leasing companies under influence of USA sanctions.

US Department of Commerce on October 18th tightened export and re-export regulations of some product types to Cuba, including leasing of aviation equipment, granting certain types of donations and deliveries of telecommunications equipment.

Decision according to which US authorities “introduce further tightening of export and re-export rules of some products to Cuba” came into force on October 21st.

Britain student Meleri Williams suffers from difficult form of nuts allergy: she cannot not only eat them but even be near them especially in closed area. She learnt to deal with this problem: she always has medicine with her but when she has to travel for example with an airplane she asks crew not to serve nuts and till present she wasn’t refused. Stewards understand that if anaphylactic shock happens with passenger – and this is the reaction of Meleri on nuts – entire flight will be disrupted.

Recently Meleri had to fly from Argentine city Esquel in Buenos Aires where she had to practice teach in primary school. The flight was made by National air carrier Aerolineas Argentinas. As usually, girl averted crew about her medical problem and asked to eliminate nuts from flight meal. Meal during Aerolineas Argentinas flights is included in the tickets’ price, however during this short-haul flight passengers were offered only nuts and plum.

Meleri insisted that in closed room with such quantity of nuts around her even medicine can be useless and her respiratory passages will just close. But despite long negotiations crew came to opinion that nuts’ refusal will “put other passengers in awkward position”. Girl was offered to refuse flight.

She did so and the ticket price (about 230 euro) no one returned. Then student tried to book new ticket but to this direction flew only Aerolineas Argentinas and employees of this Company informed that nuts will be served anyway. The girl couldn’t but travel 1770 kilometers by bus. It took more than 20 hours.

Friend that flew with her and remained on the flight assured that passengers were on the Meleri’s side and were indignant with actions of the Airline Company.

After reaching destination Meleri told her story to mass media and at the same time tried to get in social media official explanation from Aerolineas Argentinas but Airline Company didn’t answer.

Thai Airways is one of the biggest airline companies of premium-class. It has fleet of 84 airplanes and flies to 74 directions. In this Airline Company work 20000 people and it is national carrier of Thailand (51% belongs to government).

However, Airline Company began to suffer significant losses mainly because of competition with low-cost carriers on such directions as Vietnam, Hong Kong and China. This pressure caused bad results in the first half of the year, losses made 6.44 billion Thailand bath or 197 million USD. At the same time total debt of the company makes more than 280 billion bath.

Boeing Dreamliner of Australian Airline Company Qantas Airways finished New York Sydney flight that lasted 19 hours and 16 minutes – informs the air carrier’s web-site.

As Bloomberg informs the flight became the longest direct flight in history. The airplane, after covering more than 16.2 thousand kilometers landed in International Sydney Airport at 7:49 a.m. on October 19th with 37 minutes delay.

According to Qantas on the board of the airplane were 49 passengers and crew members. The Airline Company informed that the flight pursued research objectives and was the part of Qantas Sunrise project of launching regular continuous flights from East Australia coast to London and New York.

In case of this flight we haven’t turned the light off during first 6 hours of the flight” – press-release says. World Trade Organization (WTO) officially confirmed USA decision to impose sweeping trade sanctions on the goods from European Union because of receiving illegal grants by European Aviation Consortium Airbus. Respective resolution adopted Dispute Settlement Body of WTO on Monday, October 14th in Geneva. It has to do with the controversy of European Union and USA surrounding aviation subsidization that lasts for more than 15 years.

United Stated informed that grants of European Union for Airbus during decades resulted in big losses for their economy and they tried to influence European Union numerous times in order to stop granting benefits to Airbus, however EU according to USA always escaped from serious discussions about this. And now USA hopes to influence actions of European Union by imposing sanctions.

This resolution was simple formality because WTO arbitration took similar decision back on October 2nd. To veto this resolution was necessary to be declined by all countries that participated on October 14th in the WTO Dispute Settlement Body session including USA.

Sanctions to record amount

USA impose sanctions on European goods for record amount of 7.5 billion USD. WTO arbitration enacted that European Union and its’ members Great Britain, France, Germany and Spain haven’t revoked illegal grants for Airbus that complicated sales of products to American competitor Boeing Company.

President Trump’s Administration decided to impose these sanction from October 18th.
