Seat map of the Airbus A350-900

Airbus A350-900 operated by Delta Airlines may accommodate 306 passengers in 3 classes.

First 9 rows consist of 32 open suites. These seats are seats of Delta One type.

The seats of the 1st row are standard but have such a disadvantage as close location of the lavatories in front.

Close location of the lavatories and galley may also cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 9B and 9C.

Behind the seats of Delta One type 6 rows of Delta Premium Select seats are located. These seats have 2-4-2 configuration. The seats of the 20th row are considered the best seats of this type because passengers of these seats will be able to take advantage of extra space for their legs. However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing and are a little reduced in width due to built-in entertainment displays in the armrests.

Economy class offers 226 seats that are divided into 2 sections.

First section consists of 10 rows of seats that have 3-3-3 configuration. Passengers of the seats of the 30th row will feel comfortable thanks to additional space for their legs. Among disadvantages of these seats: reduced width because the tray tables are in the armrests and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 39th row is location of the lavatories behind.

Behind exit row second section of economy class seats is located. There are16 rows of seats here: 14 rows have 3-3-3 configuration, 1 row has 2-3- configuration and 1 row with 3 seats. Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 40th row offer extra legroom. At the same time other passengers tend to congregate in the area of these seats while waiting to use lavatories causing discomfort to passengers. Also, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing and have slightly reduced width.

The best seats in this section are considered the seats 41A and 41J because they offer additional legroom due to missing seats in front.

The main disadvantage of the seats 54D and 54F is location of the galleys behind the noise from which may be bothersome.

Limited recline, reclining seats located in front that reduce personal area of passengers and location of the galleys behind make the seats 54ABC, 54 GHJ and 55DEF bad seats.

“Delta Airlines” operates 13 planes Airbus A350-900. Airbus A350-900 is airplane with enhanced comfort, smooth flight and is able to fly on big distances and less fuel consumption.

Airbus is the newest, most technologic and the most silent airplane.

For example Lufthansa has got first airplane Airbus A350-900 in the end of 2017. In the nearest future Airbus will deliver 10 more airplanes of these model to Lufthansa. All these airplanes will be based in Munich airport and will replace Airbus A340 airplanes that are used now.

First airplane Airbus A350-900 in Lufthansa was named Nurnberg.

The length of the airplane is 66,8 meters, wing span – 64,74 meters that is by 4,5 meter longer than of Airbus A330. Wing surface is 443 square meters – it is the biggest wing among all that have been ever created for one decked airplanes.

Maximum speed is 907 kilometers per hour. Flying range is 15 thousand kilometers, i.e. such airplane may have non-stop flight, for example from Moscow to Buenos Aires (distance about 13,5 thousand kilometers).

This version of Airbus A350 offers seats in two classes: business and economy.

Business class may accommodate 36 passengers on flat bed seats. These seats are located in 9 rows: 6 of which are located in the first section and 3 rows in the second section.

The seats in business class have 1-2-1 configuration. The only disadvantage of the seats of the 1st row is close location of the galley. Close location of the bar and lavatories will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 6th row.

All business class seats of the second section are standard.

Economy class contains 247 standard seats. These seats are also divided into two sections separated from each other with exit row. Most of the seats of the economy class have 3-3-3 configuration.

First section contains 14 rows of seats. Due to bulkhead position the seats 16AC and 16HK have limited space for passengers’ legs. Among other disadvantages of these seats: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable.

Passengers of the seats 17C, 17DEF and 17H will take advantage of extra legroom. However, these seats are narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The noise from the galleys and lavatories located behind will cause discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 29th row.

There are 126 seats in the second section of economy class. Thanks to the exit row in front the seats 30ABC and 30HJK offer extra space for passengers’ legs. But as other passengers tend to gather in this area while waiting to use lavatories it may cause inconvenience to passengers of these seats. Also the tray tables are in the armrests of these seats making them immovable and thus reducing the width of these seats. Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

Location of the galley in front, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing are the main disadvantages of the seats 31DEF.

The main disadvantage of the seats of the rows 43-44 (except the seat 43E) is proximity of the galleys and lavatories.

“Qatar Airways” operates 36 aircrafts Airbus A350-900. Airbus A350-900 is equipped with the most powerful engines Rolls-Royce Trent XWB located on the wings made of carbon fiber.

The wing area is 443 square meters – it is the biggest wing in Airbus history from ever constructed for one-deck airplane.

The wingspan is 64.8 meters that is by 4.5 meters more than of Airbus A330 and also equal to the wing span of Boeing modifications 777-200LR and 777-300ER that have insignificantly smaller wing area.

Airbus A350 has one of the widest cabins among long-range airplanes, its width is 5.96 meters. So, the airplane is able to accommodate up to 9 passenger seats in one row.

Business class consists of 38 open suites that have 180 degrees recline. These seats are divided into two sections. First section has 8 rows of seats.

For passengers traveling with a partner will be perfect all the D and G seats.

Proximity of the galley and lavatory may cause discomfort to passengers of the seats 11D and 11G.

For passengers with babies the seats 12A and 12K offer bassinet locations. These seats offer excellent privacy.

The noise from the galleys is the main disadvantage of the seats of the 19th row.

The second section of business class seats consists of 2 rows of seats per 4 in each. Close location of the galley and lavatory will cause inconvenience to passengers of the seats of the 20th row.

Behind business class seats 4 rows of premium economy class seats are located. These seats are more reclining than the seats of the economy class and the footrest of these seats may be lifted up.

The seats of the 30th row have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Passengers traveling with babies are often seated on the seats 30AC and 30HK as they have bassinet locations.

Economy class seats are divided into two sections. Most of the seats have 3-3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats 39DEG will take advantage of extra space for their legs. Among disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing, as the tray tables are built-in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little. These seats have bassinet locations.

The best seats here are considered the seats 40ABC and 40HJK because these seats have extra legroom. However, these seats are narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 47ABC, 47DEG, 47H and 48HJK as these seats are located close to lavatories.

Behind the exit row the second section of economy class seats is located. There are 16 rows of seats here.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 59th row offer extra legroom. But the armrests of these seats are immovable as the tray tables are in the armrests and that is why these seats are narrower than standard. Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Proximity of the lavatories is another disadvantage of these seats. For passengers with babies the seats 59DEG have bassinet locations.

The seats 60A and 60K have the same disadvantages as the seats of the 59th row. Due to missing seats in front passengers of these seats will take advantage of extra legroom.

The only disadvantage of the seats 73D and 73G is close location of the galley and lavatory.

Limited recline and proximity of the galleys and lavatory make the seats 73ABC, 73HJK and 74DEG bad seats. Also the seats 73C and 73H are often bumped by other passengers and crew members passing by.

The seats of the first 11 rows of Airbus A350-900 contain seats of business class. There are totally 42 flat bed seats here that have 180 degrees recline, i.e. are transformed into a fully bed.

Business class seats are divided into 2 sections: First section offers 26 seats. Only the seats of the first and the last rows of the section, i.e. the seats of the 11th row and of the seats 17A, 17K and 18DF have such a disadvantage as close location of the galleys and lavatories.

Behind the exit row 4 more rows of business class are located. These seats have 1-2-1 configuration. Passengers of the seats of the 19th row will take advantage of extra legroom. For passengers traveling with infants these seats offer bassinets. However, the noise from the galleys located in front may be bothersome.

Premium economy class may accommodate 24 passengers. The seats of premium economy class are located in 3 rows and have 2-4-2 configuration. The seats of the 31st row are considered the best seats because they provide additional legroom for passengers. But these seats are a little narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Passengers traveling with babies are often seated on the seats 31DEFG because these seats have bassinets.

The seats 33D and 33G are often bumped by service carts and other passengers passing by. Reduced width is another disadvantage of these seats.

Economy class may transport 187 passengers. It is separated into two sections. First section consists of 6 rows of seats. There are totally 51 seats here. Passengers of the seats of the 41st row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom. For passengers with babies these seats offer bassinets. These seats are considered the best seats of the economy class. As the tray tables are video monitors are built-in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little. Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passengers tend to gather in order to visit lavatories in the area of the seats 45DEG, 46ABC and 46HJK causing discomfort to passengers of these seats.

Behind the exit row second section of economy class seats is located. Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 47th row offer extra legroom. Among disadvantages: location of the lavatories in front, reduced width of the seats and no floor storage during take-off and landing.

As there are no seats in front the seats 48A and 48K these seats offer additional legroom to passengers. These seats are considered good seats. However, these seats are a little narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Limited recline and the noise from the galleys and lavatory located behind make the seats 61ABC, 61HJK and 62DEG bad seats.
