Airbus A321-200 Lufthansa. Photos and description of the plane
“Lufthansa” operates 43 aircrafts Airbus A321-200. In 1994 DASA Company that is participant of Airbus Industry consortium has offered to start development of A321-200 modification with increased gross weight and flying range.
The airplane is equipped with complex electronic hardware EFIS similar to the complex installed on airplane A320. It is produced in quantity from 1993. To April 1997 were sold 199 and delivered more than 60 A321 airplanes of all modifications.
On Airbus A321-200 were installed additional fuel tank and larger engines that allowed to increase flying range to the values of A320.
Totally have been constructed almost 1000 airplanes Airbus A321. At present moment construction continues.
