American Airlines operates two versions of Boeing 767-300 airplanes.
First cabin version of the Boeing 767-300
This configuration of Boeing 767-300 airplane is used during long-haul domestic routes and during International flights to Europe and South America.
The cabin is divided into three sections: Business class, Main Cabin Extra and Economy Class.
Business class has 30 seats that are situated in 5 rows per 6 seats in each row.
The seats in the Business class begin from the 2nd row. All the seats of the 2nf row are standard but their close location to the bulkhead may cause inconvenience for passengers of these seats.
The seats of the last row in the Business class the seats 6A and 6 J have no windows.
In Main Cabin extra there are 3 rows per 7 seats each. The seats of the 11th row have extra space for passengers’ legs but the seats have a little reduced width as the tray tables are built in the armrests making them immovable. 11A, 11B, 11H and 11J are often reserved by passengers with babies as there is a bassinet location here. The seats 11B and 11 H have also limited floor storage as entertainment equipment is stored here.
The seats 12A and 12J have misaligned windows.
The seats of the last 13th row of the Main Cabin Extra have such a disadvantage as close location to lavatories and galley. Also floor storage of the seats 13B and 13H is reduced due to the entertainment equipment that is stored under these seats.
The seats of the 17th row are good seats as their passengers may take advantage of extra legroom. The seats 17B and 17H have reduced floor storage.
The seats of the 20th row have restricted legroom and limited recline due to the exit row located behind. Also because of the exit row location passengers of these seats may get cold during the flight. There is no floor storage during takeoff and landing for these seats.
The seats 21A and 21J have extra legroom but they are narrower than other standard seats of the airplane. The seats 21B and 21H also have extra legroom but restricted floor storage due to entertainment equipment.

The seats 41A, 41B, 41 H and 41J are located close to lavatories. Also the seats 41B, 41 H as well as the seat 41E have limited floor storage as entertainment equipment is located here.
The seats of the last 3 rows (42nd, 43rd and 44th) have the same disadvantages. Every middle seat (42E, 43E and 44E) has limited floor storage.
Second cabin version of the Boeing 767-300
This new version of Boeing 767-300 includes 209 seats and as in previous version these seats are divided into three classes: 28 seats in business class, 18 – in main cabin extra and 163 economy seats.
All seats of the Business class are standard and are located in 1-2-1 configuration.
In main cabin extra the seats are located in 2 rows per 7 seats in each and in 1 row with 4 seats. The seats of the 12th row are good seats as passengers of these seats may feel comfortable thanks to the extra space in front of them. However, the width of these seats is a little reduced.
For passengers of the 13th row close location of the lavatories and galley may be bothersome.
The passengers of the 14th row may take advantage of a more private feel . At the same rime close location of the galley and lavatories may cause inconvenience. The tray table are built in the armrests reducing the seats’ width.
The seats of the 20th row have extra legroom thanks to the exit row located in front of them but these seat may be not reclining due to the exit row behind. Close location to the galley ia also a disadvantage as well as the smaller width of these seats.
The seats of the 21st row are good seats with extra space for passengers legs. But the width of these seats is slightly reduced as the armrests are immovable.
The seats 41A, 41B and 41H, 41J as well as the seats of the last 44th row may not recline and are located close to the lavatories. That is why these seats are considered bad seats. The seats of the 42nd and 43rd rows have the same disadvantage as proximity to the lavatories.
