“Delta Airlines” operates 57 aircrafts Airbus A319. Airbus A319 represents modification of Airbus A320 with less number of passenger seats. That is why the length of A319 is shorter than of A320 almost by 4 meters. It is the main difference between these two models of “Airbus S.A.S” company.

Officially program of Airbus A319 development started in May 1992. Although development studies of this model took place back in 1990. Airbus A319 has made first flight on August 25th 1995. In March 1996 aircraft was certified. The first Buyer was Swiss airline company “Swissair”.
