Airbus A321 is the biggest representative of airplanes of Airbus A320 family. A321 has elongated body as compared to other models and as result increased passenger capacity.

There are two passenger modifications of this airplane. Airbus A321-100 appeared in 1994 and had less flying range as compared to other airplanes of the family. On Airbus A321-200 that has made first flight in 1995 were installed additional fuel tank and more powerful engines that increased the flying range to A320 values.

Totally about 1000 airplanes Airbus A321 have been constructed. Construction continues.
