Airline Company TAP Air Portugal first in the world got new airplane Airbus A330neo. Part 2
A330neo airplanes are created on the base of technologies used during creation of A350XWB. A330neo family is presented in two versions: A330-800 and A330-900 that may accommodate 257 and 287 passengers in three classes. These airplanes are equipped with high-efficiency engines Rolls-Royce Trent 7000 with bypass ratio 10:1, have improved aerodynamic shape (new wingtips in analogy with A350 XWB, increased wing span, titanium pylon) and are also equipped with new passenger cabin Airspace. As compared to competing airplanes of previous generation fuel consumption of A330neo “on one seat” has reduced by 25 %.
At present moment TAP Air Portugal operates 72 airplanes Airbus (18 – A330, 4 – A 340 and 50 airplanes of the family A320 and A320neo).
Altogether Airbus received more than 1700 orders from 120 Customers on airplanes of A330 family. At present moment more than 1380 airplanes of this family are operated in the fleet of 128 airline companies all over the world.
