“Brussels Airlines” operates De Havilland Canada DHC-8-400. Turboprop airplane Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 was created by Canadian aviation company Bombardier Aerospace.

The airplane represents fully updated version of early models of airplanes of Bombardier Dash 8 family.

As compared to predecessors Dash 8Q-400 has longer body and increased passenger capacity, principally new engines and on-board equipment. Dash 8Q-400 has low noise level and high flying speed that together with fuel efficiency of turboprop airplane gives it advantage in front of jet airplanes when using it on short routes.

Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 is constructed in series since 2000 till today. To the beginning of 2016 500 airplanes have been constructed.
