I had two Delta flights, and soon I will have the third one. Amsterdam – Portland. Clean cabin, one could lie down on the floor. Very comfortable leather seats, WC is beyond all praise! As I was alone (unaccompanied minor), I was under the care of staff all the time. At first stewardesses were friendly, when I came in, chatted with me etc. But during 10-hour flight their cordial smiles disappeared at all, still they were not rude. So, such situation is quite understandable – 5 people in cabin crew complement and three hundred passengers. Very deft and careful stewards, I mean, stepping on toes, hitting elbows – nothing of it. Awesome meal – sandwich as a snack, then a main course in 30 minutes which was great as well. Some hours later we were given cute packs with the inscription “Enjoy” on it. I founded it very nice. The pack contained Nutella, cookies, sugar and coffee cream. I still use this pack in school. During the first Delta flight I fell into talk with the steward, who treated me with ice-cream, which was served in a real plate with a real spoon. It was very nice of him! No problems with luggage in both cases.
NOTE! If you are going to have transatlantic flight, the aircraft is expected to be huge and uncomfortable as to the arrangement of passenger seats: two seats by the edge of the board and four in the middle. There is 99% chance that during check-in you’ll get the seat in the middle or along the edges. So, if you don’t want to become the prisoner to sleeping men, book the ticket beforehand!
