Net profit of Airbus company increased by 3.4 times
Net profit of aerospace company Airbus in the first quarter 2022 increased by 3.4 times in annualized terms – to 1.219 billion euro as compared to 362 million euro for the same period of the previous year, the company’s report says.
Per share diluted profit made 1.55 euro against 0.46 euro one year earlier. Airbus income increased by 15% to 12 billion euro. At the same time analysts expected index value on the level of 12.6 billion euro.
Company in the past quarter delivered 142 airplanes against 125 one year earlier.
Quarter income of Airbus company increased to 12 billion euro from 10.46 billion one year earlier.
Airbus is one of the biggest aerospace and defense companies of the world. It consists of divisions Airbus SAS that deals with production of passenger airplanes, Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Helicopters.
Company expects that demand on commercial airplanes and, in particular, airplanes of A320 family will continue growing after 2022 as well. In this regard Airbus intends to increase production of the airplanes A320 up to 75 units per months to 2025. According to the company’s forecast in the current year deliveries of commercial airplanes will reach 720 units but adjusted EBIT (Earnings Before Interest and Taxes) – 5.5 billion euro.
