Net profit of Airbus in the first half of the year made 2,2 billion euro against loss one year earlier.
European aviation company Airbus in the first half of the year 2021 received net profit in amount of 2,231 billion euro against loss of 1,9 billion euro for the same period of previous year, the company’s report says.
Diluted earnings per ordinary share made 2.84 euro against the loss of the previous year of 2,45 euro. Company’s income in the period under review increased by 30% up to 21,637 billion euro. Diluted earnings per ordinary share made 2,38 euro against loss of 1,84 euro one year earlier. Income has increased by 1,7 time up to 14,177 billion euro.
Net profit of the company in the second quarter made 1,869 billion euro against loss for the second quarter of the previous year of 1,438 billion euro.
Such growth of the income company links to increase of the airplanes’ deliveries. For the first half of the year of 2021 Airbus delivered totally 297 airplanes while during the same period of 2020 the quantity was just 196 airplanes.
Airbus is one of the biggest aerospace and defense corporations in the world. It consists of the subdivisions Airbus SAS that deals with production of the passenger airplanes, Airbus Defence and Space and Airbus Helicopters. Number of employees as to the June 30th made 135 thousand people.
