Revised net loss of Embraer in the 2nd quarter 2020 made 198,8 million USD

Brazilian aircraft company Embraer delivered four commercial airplanes and 13 business jets in the 2nd quarter 2020. Backlog of company’s firm orders to the end of the 2nd quarter 2020 made 15,4 billion USD – the press service of Embraer company informs.

Earnings Before Interest and Taxes (EBIT) and Earnings Before Interest, Taxes, Depreciation and Amortization (EBITDA) made 140,5 million USD and 120,4 million USD correspondingly –company representatives marked.

Revised net loss in the 2nd quarter 2020 (exclusive of extraordinary items and deferred income tax and social due fees) made 198,8 million USD but at the same time adjusted loss per stock (ADS) made 1,08 USD.


Totally for the 2nd quarter 2020 Embraer profit made 537,2 million USD. For the first half of 2020 profit level of the company made 1,171 billion USD. At the same time net liability of Embraer company for the 2nd quarter 2020 made 1,8 billion USD but for the first half-year period 2020 net debt made 3,132 billion USD.

“Embraer liquidity remains stable because company finished 2nd quarter with total amount of monetary funds of 2 billion USD and due dates beginning with 2022. Company also finished contract negotiation on flowing capital and export financing with credit agencies in Brazil and USA and also with private and state banks by adding in total up to 700 million USD to overall liquidity. It is expected that financing on this new credit lines will be finished in the 3rd 2020 that will allow to reinforce Embraer’s cash balance in the second half-year period of 2020 and in 2021” – Embraer marked.

Because of remaining uncertainty due to coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic, financial forecasts and forecasts of airplanes’ deliveries in 2020 for present moment are not made.
