First version of Airbus A321 is the most common. This airplane may transport 177 passengers in two classes: business and economy.

First three rows represent the seats of business class. These seats have 2-2 configuration. So there are totally 12 seats here that have 160 degree recline.

Due to the bulkhead position the seats of the 1st row have limited space for passengers’ legs. Among other disadvantages: these seats are narrower than standard as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Economy class consists of 165 seats.

Economy class seats are divided into three sections. First section includes 4 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration.

Passengers of the seats of the 8th row will take advantage of extra legroom. However, these width of these seats is reduced a little and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

The main disadvantage of the seats of the 11th row is that these seats are not reclining.

The second section of economy class seats contains 75 seats. Thanks to the exit row in front the seats of the 12th row have extra space for passengers’ legs. At the same time these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing and the width of these seats is reduced as the tray tables are built-in the armrests.

Because of the exit row located behind the seats of the 25th row do not recline.

Behind the exit row the third section of economy class seats is located. There are 11 rows of seats here per 6 in each. Passengers of the seats of the 26th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom that these seats offer. Protrusion of the exit doors restrict a little this extra legroom for seats 26A and 26F. Among disadvantages of the seats of the 26th row: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width.

Close location of the lavatories and galley and reduced storage space in overhead bins are disadvantages of the seats 35C, 35D and of the seats of the 36th row. The other disadvantages of the seats of the last 36th row are: limited recline and passengers of these seats will be among the last to deplane after landing. That is why these seats are considered bad seats.

This version of Airbus A321 operated by Qatar Airways offers 182 seats in two classes: business and economy.

Business class consists of three rows of seats that have 2-2 configuration. Passengers of the seats of the 1st row will take advantage of extra space for their legs. However, the noise from the galleys and lavatories located in front will cause discomfort as well as reduced width of the seats and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

There are 170 standard seats in the economy class. These seats are located in three sections separated from each other with exit rows. First section may accommodate 22 passengers. Passengers travelling with babies are often seated on the seats of the 8th row as they have bassinet locations.

The only disadvantage of the seats of the 11th row is limited recline.

The second section of economy class seats contains 14 rows of seats, 13 of them have 3-3 configuration and the last row has 2-2 configuration.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 12th row offer extra legroom. As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little. Another disadvantage of these seats is lack of floor storage during take-off and landing. Also, the extra legroom of the seats 12A and 12F is reduced a little because of the protrusion of the exit doors inside.

Because of the exit row located behind, the seats of the 25th row are less reclining than standard.

The last third section of economy class seats consists of 11 rows of seats per 6 in each. Passengers of the seats of the 26th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom that these seats offer. However protrusion of the exit doors limits this extra space for the seats 26A and 26F. Among disadvantages of the seats of the 26th row: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 35C and 35D and of the seats of the last 36th row while waiting to use lavatories and thus causing discomfort to passengers of these seats

The third version of Airbus A321 offers the seats only of economy class. This airplane may accommodate 196 passengers.

Most of the seats on this airplane have 3-3 configuration. These seats are divided into three sections.

First section contains 46 seats. For passengers with babies the seats of the 1st row offer bassinet locations. Passengers will take advantage of extra legroom. As the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is reduced a little. Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and close location of the lavatories are the other disadvantages of these seats.

Due to the exit row located behind the seats 7A and 7F as well as the seats of the 8th row are less reclining than standard.

The second section of economy class seats has 12 rows. The seats of the 9th row are considered good seats as they have extra space for passengers’ legs. However, these seats are narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Also, protrusion of the exit doors inside slightly restricts legroom of the seats 9a and 9F.

The main disadvantage of the seat 21F is limited recline.

The third section of economy class seats includes 13 rows of seats. Passengers of the seats of the 22nd row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom. As the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little. Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats. Protrusion of the exit door may cause some inconvenience for passengers of the seats 22A and 22F.

Location of the galley and lavatories behind may cause discomfort for passengers of the seats 33C, 33D and of the seats of the 34th row.
