Alitalia operates two versions of Airbus A320 airplanes with seats of one class and two classes.

First cabin version of the Airbus A320 (320) One Class

This version of Airbus A320 is the most common.

This airplane contains 165 standard seats of economy class. Most of the seats have 3-3 configuration.

The exit row located in front of the seats 1ABC provides passengers of these seats with extra legroom. But, these seats are narrower than standard, have no floor storage during take-off and landing and proximity of the lavatory and galley may also cause discomfort.

Thanks to the position of the bulkhead, passengers of the seats 2DEF will also take advantage of extra space for their legs. Noise that is coming from the galley may cause inconvenience as well as lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width of the seats.

The seats of the 10th row may be less reclining as an exit row is located behind.

As the seats of the 11th row are located between two exit rows, passengers of these seats on the one hand will have extra legroom, but on another these seats have limited recline, have no floor storage during take-off and landing and as the tray tables are in the armrests the width of these seats is slightly reduced.

The best seats on this airplane are considered the seats of the 12th row as they offer extra legroom. Among disadvantages: lack of floor storage during take-off and landing and reduced width as the tray tables are built-in the armrests making them immovable.

Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats 29C and 29D while waiting to use lavatories and causing inconvenience to passengers of these seats.

Proximity of the lavatories may also represent a problem to passengers of the seats of the last 30th row. Limited recline and limited storage space in overhead bins make these seats bad seats.

Second cabin version of the Airbus A320 (320) Two Class

The second cabin version of Airbus A320 operated by Alitalia offers 34 seats in business class and 114 seats in the economy class.

The seats of the business class are located in 9 rows. All middle seats are blocked here providing more privacy to passengers of business class. All the seats in business class are standard. Only the seats 1A, 1C and 1D and 1F have the following disadvantages: restricted legroom, close location of the lavatory and galley, reduced width and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

The seats of the economy class have 3-3 configuration.

The curtain that separates the seats of economy class and the seats of business class may cause some discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 10th row. Also these seats are less reclining because of the exit row located behind these seats.

Passengers of the seats of the 11th row will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom, but at the same time these seats have limited recline, reduced width and have no floor storage during take-off and landing.

Thanks to the exit row located in front the seats of the 12th row have extra legroom. But as the tray tables are in the armrests, the width of these seats is reduced a little. Lack of floor storage during take-off and landing is another disadvantage of these seats.

The main disadvantage of the seats 29C and 29D is close location to the lavatory.

The seats of the last 30th row are considered bad seats as they are less reclining, have less storage space in overhead bins and are located close to the galley and lavatory.
