American Eagle version of Bombardier CRJ-700 operated by SkyWest offers 65 seats of three classes: first, main cabin extra and main cabin (economy). Except passengers this airplane flights with 2 crew members and 2 flight attendants. This airplane is equipped with 2 General Electric CF34-8C5B1 turbofans. SkyWest operates 45 such airplanes.


The seats of the rows 1-3 are seats of the first class. First class may accommodate 9 passengers. The seats here have 1-2 configuration and are located in three rows. All these seats are standard. The width of these seats is 19.75 inches.

Behind seats of the first class the seats designated as main cabin extra are located. These seats located in the rows 4-6 are considered premium seats and may accommodate 12 passengers in three rows. These seats have 17.25 inches width.

The seats of the main cabin are divided into 2 sections separated from each other with an exit row. First section consists of 5 rows that have 2-2 configuration and have 17.25 inches width. Due to exit row located behind the seats of the 11th row these seats may have limited recline.

Second version of Bombardier CRJ-700 is Delta Connection. This airplane may accommodate 69 passengers in three classes: first class, comfort plus and main cabin. Maximum operating altitude of this airplane is 12496 meters. SkyWest owns 18 airplanes of this versions.

First class passengers seat in in the rows 1-3. There are totally 9 seats here. A seats are for passengers who are travelling alone. For passengers that are travelling with a partner will be ideal C and D seats. First class seats feature 19.75 inches width.

Comfort plus seats may accommodate 16 passengers in the rows 4-7. These seats have 2-2 configuration and offer 17.25 inches width.

Main cabin seats contain 11 rows per 4 seats in each. First 4 rows are located in front of exit row. All these seats are standard, only the seats of the 11th row are less reclining than standard due to exit row located behind.

The other 7 rows of the main cabin seats are located behind the exit row. Thanks to the exit row located in front passengers of the seats of the 12th row will feel comfortable because these seats offer additional legroom.

Congregation of passengers near the seats of the 18th row while waiting to use lavatories and limited recline make these seats bad seats.

SkyWest has 36 units of the third version of Bombardier CRJ-700 airplane. This airplane consists of 70 seats of three classes: 6 seats of the first class, 12 of economy plus and 52 of economy class.

The seats of the rows 1-2 are seats of the first class. These seats have 1-2 configuration and will be perfect both for passengers who are travelling alone and with a partner. The width of these seats is bigger than in other classes – 19.75 inches.

Economy plus seats are located in the rows 7-9, i.e. directly behind first class seats. This class may accommodate 12 passengers.

Comfort plus seats may accommodate 16 passengers in the rows 4-7. These seats have 2-2 configuration and offer 17.25 inches width.

The next 13 rows of seats offer seats of economy class. All these seats have 2-2 configuration and the width of 17.25 inches. 7 rows of economy class seats, i.e the seats of the rows 10-17 are located between comfort plus seats and exit row. The seats of the 17th row have such disadvantage as limited recline.

The other 6 rows of economy class seats are located behind the exit row. The seats of the 18th row are considered the best seats because they offer additional space for passenger’s legs.

The seats of the 23rd row have the following disadvantages: location of the lavatory behind and limited recline. These sears are considered bad seats.
