Seat map Airbus A320-200 “Virgin America”. Best seats in the plane
Virgin America operates two versions of Airbus A320-200.
First cabin version of the Airbus A320 (320) V1
First version of Airbus A320 operated by Virgin America is the most common in their fleet.
This airplane may accommodate 149 passengers in two classes: first and economy.
First class may transport 8 passengers. All the seats of the first class do not have under seat storage space. The seats of the 1st row also have less storage in overhead bins that are partially used by crew members for their baggage.
Behind the first class the seats of the economy class are located. First section of economy class seats consists of 6 rows of seats that have 3-3 configuration. The seats of the 3rd row are designated as Main Cabin Select. These seats offer 6 extra inches of legroom. However, these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing. As the tray tables are built-in the bulkhead it is difficult for passengers to reach them.
The main disadvantage of the seats of the 8th row is limited recline because of the exit row located behind.
As the seats of the 9th row are located between two exit rows, these seats on the one hand offer extra legroom but on the other are less reclining than standard.
Behind the exit row the last section of economy class seats is located. The seats of the 10th row belong to Main Cabin Select seats that have 6 more inches of legroom. These seats are considered the best seats on the airplane.
Passengers inform that the seats of the 24-26th rows are narrower and feel more cramped.
Close location of the galley and no recline make the seats 25 DEF and 26ABC bad seats.
Second cabin version of the Airbus A320 (320) V2
Second version of Airbus A320 contains 146 seats.
8 seats of the first class have no under seat storage. And the seats of the 1st row also have less space in overhead bins for personal things as a part of them is used by crew members.
Economy class may transport 138 passengers. Among standard seats economy class also contains Main Cabin Select seats that have 6 extra inches of legroom.
The seats of the 3rd row are the Main Cabin Select seats. These seats have extra seat pitch that makes passengers of these seats difficult to reach the tray tables that are built-in the bulkhead. Also these seats have no floor storage during take-off and landing.
Due to the exit row located behind the seats of the 8th row are less reclining than standard.
Passengers of the seats of the 9th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs thanks to the exit row located in front. At the same time these seats have limited recli8ne due to another exit row located behind.
The best seats on this airplane are considered the seats of the 10th row as these seats are designated as Main Cabin Select seats that offer 6 extra inches of legroom.
The seats of the 24-25th rows are narrower and feel more cramped.
Other passengers tend to congregate in the area of the seats of the 25th row causing discomfort to passengers of these seats. Also these seats have limited recline that is why these seats are considered bad seats.
