Seat map of the Boeing 787-8 (788)

This airplane may accommodate 254 passengers: 22 in business class and 232 in economy class.

Business class offers 22 flat bed seats with 180 degree recline. 20 seats are located in the first section. There are 5 rows of seats here per 4 in each. Location of the galleys in front may cause some discomfort to passengers of the seats of the 1st row. Passengers of the seats 1A and 1K will feel more privacy.

Misaligned windows are the main disadvantage of the seats 5A and 5K.

Behind the exit row 2 more seats of business class are located. The main disadvantage of these seats, the seats 6EF is close location of the lavatories.

Economy class consists of 232 seats divided into 2 classes. Most of the seats have 3-3-3 configuration. All A,C,D,F,H and K seats may have less legroom and under seat storage space because of entertainment equipment stored here.

First section of economy class seats contains 15 rows of seats. There are totally 135 seats here. Passengers of the seats of the 10th row will take advantage of extra space for their legs. Also these seats offer bassinet locations if passenger is travelling with baby. However, these seats are narrower than standard and have no floor storage during take-off and landing. Also other passengers tend to gather in the area of these seats in order to visit lavatories and causing discomfort to passengers of these seats. Proximity of the lavatories is also disadvantage of the seats 24C, 24D, 24F, 24H and for passengers of the seats of the 25th row.

The second section of economy class seats is located behind exit row. There are 11 rows of seats here: 10 of them have 3-3-3 configuration and the last row contains 7 seats.

Passengers of the seats 26ABC and 26HJK will feel comfortable thanks to extra legroom. But this additional space in case of the seats 26A and 26K is limited because of the protrusion of the exit doors inside. The seats 26DEF on the contrary may have restricted legroom. Missing windows is another disadvantage of the seats 26a and 26K.

Among disadvantages of the seats of the 26th row: proximity of the lavatories, reduced width as the tray tables are in the armrests making them immovable and lack of floor storage during take-off and landing.

Passengers with infants are often seated on the seats 26DEF as they have bassinet locations.

The seats 34a and 34K are considered bad seats as they have no windows.

Location of the galleys and lavatories behind may represent problem for passengers of the seats 35CD, 35 FH and of the seats of the 36th row. Limited recline of the seats of the last 36th row makes these seats bad seats.
