The airline company Air France is the main national carrier of France. The home port is in French airport named after Charles Gaulle. In 2003 Air France joined one more major air carrier of Europe – Holland KLM Company.

The merger of two major airline companies allowed AirFrance-KLM to become one of the largest air carriers in Europe and in the world. Annual passenger traffic numbers about 70 million people.

At the beginning of 2014 AirFrance completes 204 both domestic and international routes.

In 2000 together with Aeroméxico, Delta Air Lines and Korean Air founded Sky Team, the second largest aviation alliance in the world.
